January was our busiest sales month ever. I guess the miserable winter weather resulted in collectors spending a lot more time with their stamps! The down side for use is we did not get as far ahead with our restocking as we had planned. With three of us working on the stamps we hoped to get a lot more done.
The flu bug caught my girls and my eldest had pneumonia in February also. Somehow I managed to avoid catching anything – yea! Our winter has been cold but we have not had any significant snow this year. My daughter in Chicago reports 18 inches yesterday. We are hoping to keep escaping!
This month we finally finished updating our German Area part II price list. As usual we found lots of new items to add to our list. – good hunting.
Next month we will update the 4th part of our Germany proper price list – the part starting with the B#s, back of the book through berlin. It will be part D.
For those of you in the Mid-West plan to come see us at the St Louis Expo next month. We will have lots of our Austria and German material there for you to peruse.

newNEW ISSUE SERVICE

If you would like to start a new issue service, we can supply anything that the posts of Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein or Luxembourg issue. We tailor our new issue mailings to the needs of each customer. Most customers collect all of the issues listed by Scott catalogs as major catalog numbers as these will be the stamps that spaces are provided for in American made albums. Some of our customers use European albums and we can tailor our mailings to include issues that will appear in these albums too.

If you want to sign up for new issues, all you have to do is let us know which issues you want and we will send on approval via quarterly shipments. (We can also wait until of the end of each issuing year and send you new issues in one big batch.) No deposit is required. (We prefer though that you give is a MC/Visa/American Express account number and then we charge the issues as we ship them – it really simplifies our book keeping.)

AMERICAN PHILATELIC SOCIETY

Periodically, we remind our customers that the American Philatelic Society (APS) is one of the best philatelic bargains around! For $26.25 a year members receive an excellent monthly stamp journal and a myriad of philatelic services.
As the premiere stamp organization in the US, the APS offers a sometimes overlooked benefit to its members. As prospective member applications are reviewed and because the APS demands member responsibility, being a member of the APS brings added credibility when you deal with fellow collectors and stamp dealers. Citing your APS membership when conducting philatelic business is perhaps the single best philatelic reference you can give. Almost all stamp dealers will send stamps on approval to APS members without requiring any additional reference.
APS services include a superb sale circuit, an on-line sales site, an excellent research library, stamp expertizing service, and affiliations with many other collector groups If you would like an application, we have them. You can also visit our web site and click on the APS button. You can use me as your APS proposer reference.
