We have experienced another early spring here in northern Texas this year. I moved my garden plants outside in the middle of March and the garden is thriving! I moved back to Texas 8 years ago for the perpetual sunny , warm weather and really enjoy it.

Stamp collectors have been actively working on their collections so far this year and we have been busy filling orders. We continue to be overdue on preparing price lists for mailing because so much of our time is taken with maintaining our online inventory. Despite the fact that the vast majority of sales are from online collectors we still have customers who prefer the price lists. We will try hard to get a list mailed early next month.. As usual we have added several hundred new items to our online lists in recent weeks.

TREASURE BOXES

We are accumulating treasure boxes faster than we are selling them and it is becoming a space problem!

This month we are offering a treasure box for $150 net postage paid. You can order on line and we will adjust the amount due to an even $150.net post paid. Our boxes contain lots of stamps and covers and will have a high catalog value. If you like to sort through piles of philatelic material this is for you. This sale end 30 April.

AUSTRIA PHILATELIC SOCIETY (US)

After 25 years the Austria Philatelic Society (US) has ended its run. Club membership dropped year after year and finally reached the point where continued operation is now just not worth the effort and expense. Unfortunately the fate of our club is occurring to many other clubs and philatelic publications as collectors have moved to the internet for philatelic information and communication.

MICHEL DEUTSCHLAND SPEZIAL KATALOGS

The 2026 Germany specialized catalogs (Volume 1 and 2and 3) have been released. Michel has now replaced the two volume set of Germany Specialized catalogs with a three volume set. Vol 1 covers the same areas as in the past (all German related issues to the end of WWII.) Vol 2 and Vol 3 cover the areas that used to be in vol 2. The new Volume 2 covers all 1945 to now issues except the Bundespost issues e.g. post WWII locals, Allied occupations and Berlin. Michel says there are lot more varieties added to the listings. Vol 3 covers Bundesrepublic issues with more previously unlisted areas such as black prints and varieties.

I order my catalogs at shop.briefmarken.de (Schwaneberger) – you can order online and the site can be viewed in English. Prices have really shot up Vol 1 is priced at 91.70 Euro, Vol 2 and 3 at 73.83 Euro each. Postage for each volume is 41.18 Euro
