I am ready for spring. The plants that I started indoors are ready to put outside and all will be the ground by the middle of April. (An early start usually results in lots of vegetables before we get the 100 degree + days for weeks on end.) Our last freeze was in early March and we are getting highs regularly now in the high 70’s to mid-80’s. Whee!

March was a good sales month for us. We sold more better Austria stamps than German stamps which rarely occurs. Normally 75% of our sales are from the German area. We are overdue on mailing a printed price list because so much of our time is taken with maintaining our online date base. Despite the fact that the vast majority of sales are from online collectors we still have customers who prefer the printed price lists. We will try hard to get a list mailed early next month.. As usual we have added several hundred new items to our online lists this month.

TREASURE BOXES

We are accumulating treasure boxes faster than we are selling them and it is becoming a space problem!

This month we are offering a treasure box for $150 net postage paid. You can order on line and we will adjust the amount due to an even $150.net post paid. Our boxes contain lots of stamps and covers and will have a high catalog value. If you like to sort through piles of philatelic material this is for you.

2024 Michel Germany Specialized catalogs are going to be available 5 may 24. If you plan on buying either or both you can order them now online at https://shop.briefmarken.de/en/literature/germany. I just ordered THEM and paid 91.39 Euro EACH plus 31.09 Euro shipping = $122.48 Euro or $133.50. (That is as cheap as they can be found). If you buy both volumes the shipping remains at 31.09 Euro.

AUSTRIA PHILATELIC SOCIETY (US)

The Austria Philatelic Society (US) is entering its 24th year as a stamp club focusing on the Austrian area. We have members throughout the US and abroad. The club is anchored by its quarterly bulletin and twice a year stamp auctions.
